About

Shane Gianino is a dynamic nonprofit executive and development leader with 18+ years of success across for-profit and nonprofit sectors, driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and community impact across Southeast Michigan. Born on a naval base in Portsmouth, VA, and raised by his grandparents in metro Detroit, Shane’s early life was shaped by resilience in the face of adversity. At just 18 years old, his dreams of playing Division I basketball and becoming a first-generation college student were shattered when he was diagnosed with cancer. With the odds stacked against him, Shane refused to let his circumstances define his future. He embraced his guiding principles—Positivity, Persistence, and Prayer ("The 3 P’s")—to not only graduate high school but also triumph over cancer, proving that the “CAN” in CANcer is a powerful testament to hope and faith though God’s grace. At the age of 21, Shane launched his first company, Business Source Solutions, a market research firm, igniting a passion for business and innovation. In 2012, he founded QStride, Inc., a national Technology consulting and recruiting company that he scaled to multimillion-dollar revenues within four years via a self-funded model. Under his leadership, QStride became a recognized name in technology services before Shane strategically sold his shares in 2019. Amid the challenges of 2020, Shane once again demonstrated his ability to turn obstacles into opportunities. He launched Neway Creative, a coworking space and Neway Works, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through mentorship, life skills training, and workforce development programs. Shane’s leadership and contributions have been widely recognized, earning him: Top 100 Leaders & Innovators – Lawrence Technological University 40 Under 40 Honoree – L. Brooks Patterson 30 in Their 30s – DBusiness Magazine Top 100 Emerging Business Leader – The Detroiter Top 100 Detroit Leader – Techweek Vanguard Award – Detroit Young Professionals Local Treasure Award – City of Mount Clemens Shane resides in Harrison Township with his high school sweetheart and wife of 20 years, Nicole, and their two daughters, Alexandria and Olivia, and rescue dog, Scooter. As a family, they cherish time together, sports, art, travel, food, worship, and continuously seek ways to serve and inspire others.
