Matt is a freelance writer focusing on the intersection of technology and climate change. He was previously the founder and managing director of Candor, a brand journalism agency for the tech industry, as well as the head of marketing for several startup companies throughout the Bay Area, including Tapjoy, Inman, High Voltage, and others. He has a B.A. from Syracuse University and an M.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. He lives in Berkeley, where he can often be found running, hiking, or biking the trails of Tilden Park.
