I started my career as a pirate radio DJ in London. That turns out to be the best possible training for frontier tech marketing, because pirate radio was a technology that arrived before the rules did, before the language did, before the mainstream was ready. Which is exactly the situation most of my clients are in. I've spent the past two decades finding the story inside things the world doesn't have words for yet. At BitTorrent, I led marketing for a protocol serving 170 million active monthly users. At Kraken, I served as the first CMO of one of the world's largest crypto exchanges through the period that defined it as a brand. I was also employee #1 at a ConsenSys-backed startup that raised $37MM, and Studio Head at 1-800-N0TH1NG, Sony Pictures Entertainment's innovation lab. I'm also a published author. The Pirate's Dilemma (Simon & Schuster / Penguin, published in 10 countries) became the first book in Amazon's history to simultaneously hit #1 on the economics bestseller list and the rap chart. I was named #11 on Fast Company's 100 Most Creative People in Business lis, and early in my career, I became founding Editor-in-Chief of RWD at 23 and grew it into the UK's largest music magazine and one of the UK's largest early digital music platforms at a time when the music industry was convinced the internet was a threat, not an opportunity. The thread through all of it: I find the narrative in technologies and movements that are genuinely new, and I build the marketing infrastructure that makes them legible to the markets, investors, and audiences they need to reach. Today I work as a Fractional CMO with a maximum of four companies at a time. I also design and build the AI marketing stacks my clients operate on to create marketing infrastructure that moves at founder speed without the overhead of a traditional marketing team. What I help with: → Positioning and category narrative for technologies that don't fit existing frameworks → GTM strategy, launch architecture, and demand generation → Fundraising narrative — the story that converts institutional investors → AI marketing stack design and implementation → Marketing team building, hiring, and leadership I work with companies in AI, blockchain, deep science, frontier computing, and anywhere the map runs out - where the challenge isn't execution, it's figuring out what to say and who to say it to.
