About
Strategic marketing communications professional who excels as an internal and external consultant, innovatively solving problems and producing high-impact solutions. Known as a highly-engaged community member and energetic team player who is repeatedly asked to jump into situations to identify gaps, shape strategy, improve and integrate processes, and galvanize teams. Currently, I lead marketing and communications and corporate affairs for Papa, a category-creating "companion care" company that believes no one should have to go it alone. Previously, I lead corporate reputation efforts for Fortune 23 health benefits company, Anthem, Inc, where I was responsible for building and executing strategic programs that propel our industry leadership and advance brand reputation among informed consumers, media, influencers, and policy-makers. Areas of responsibility included corporate message development, integrated communications campaigns, thought leadership (including blog and social media), corporate awards, sustainability/CSR, reputation tracking, annual report, and select support for the Office of the CEO. Prior, I helped launch a new Brand PR function. Previously, I was head of communications for health care at McKinsey & Company (which includes the healthcare practice as well as the Center for US Health System Reform), where I was responsible for brand building, corporate communications, knowledge generation & dissemination, partnerships, risk mitigation, media relations, events, and more. Earlier, I managed marketing, business development and operations for Edelman’s health practice worldwide, and consulted with cross-industry clients seeking to use communications and PR disciplines to maximize their opportunity and impact in health. I have a particular passion for health technology, and am always looking to bring unexpected partners together to create change.
