Life lessons can set us back. When conquered, we grow stronger. My “life lessons” began in high school. They prepared me to be the successful Performance Coach I am today. I was on track to play college football when, on vacation, I slipped on a diving board and tore my knee cartilage...one week before the season began. I played 3 games, but the recruiters stopped calling. I lost my opportunity to play college football. Switching sports, I told my baseball coach I wanted to play in college. He said, “You can do this.” Out of 300 outfielders, I made the Division 1 team. Then I tore my rotator

I was on track to play college football when, on vacation, I slipped on a diving board and tore my knee cartilage...one week before the season began. I played 3 games, but the recruiters stopped calling. I lost my opportunity to play college football. Switching sports, I told my baseball coach I wanted to play in college. He said, “You can do this.” Out of 300 outfielders, I made the Division 1 team. Then I tore my rotator cuff and that career ended. These were critical turning points for me. More followed. How many of you have never heard, “You can do this,” or, just because you achieve a goal, you unconsciously self-limit potential for your next success. As your coach, I unearth what’s holding you back and ask “why.” I require nothing more of you than I would ask of myself. Greatness comes when challenges are faced. I look for commitment, humility, decisiveness, and desire. If I don’t see them, I can’t help. My progressively more challenging work career led me to open CampDavid, LLC in 2008.
