About

Cara Katz is a revenue executive and founder operator based in NYC. She serves as Chief Revenue Officer at Magical Teams, an embedded operations agency working with mission-driven companies, and as Founding Revenue Advisor at Society of Working Moms. She serves as a venture scout and co-runs Magical Match, a job board built in partnership with Dreamers & Doers. Her work focuses on building revenue functions inside companies that have product-market fit but lack the infrastructure to scale beyond founder-led sales. This includes positioning, pipeline development, pricing strategy, offer architecture, partnership structures, and the operational systems that turn referral momentum into repeatable revenue. Cara has helped grow over 40 companies across a range of industries, including as an early-stage investor. She founded five companies: The Hedy Society, Better Society Summit, Podcara, MentorHer and The West Virginia Hiring Group. Her previous agency served personal brand clients grossing over $35 million annually and supported twelve little libraries across literacy deserts in America. Her career began in entertainment marketing at MTV where she was a featured voice in MTV Acts for her advocacy work with LGBTQ youth in rural areas. She went on to lead event and influencer marketing programs for General Mills, Harley-Davidson, and Google launching new products and expanding into new markets. As an international marketing consultant, she has worked with clients across India, England, Estonia, South Africa, Canada, and the United States. She has been a featured speaker for The Girls Equity Movement, where she mentors high school aged young women pursuing careers in marketing and branding. She maintains an active network of more than 200 founders, operators, and investors, and writes on Substack about revenue, building, and the realities of operator life.
