From 2008-2015, I helped transform The North Face marketing team into a digitally-focused, global demand creation engine. I served as a key member of the executive team that grew The North Face from $1B to $2B in five years. Prior to The North Face I spent 10 incredible years at Levi's learning from some of the world's best marketers how to build global brands. And I learned from the Haas family how to give back while doing it. At Levi's I progressed from an intern to VP of Marketing and experienced the dot com boom and bust where I learned the hard way what works and what doesn't in digital marketing. From 2015-2019 I took what I call my "four year entrepreneurship sabbatical". I leveraged my experience in digital marketing, global advertising development, in-store marketing, PR, CRM/loyalty, sports marketing, and global market research to build two thriving businesses and drive growth for our clients in today's most vibrant marketing environment - digital and experiential marketing. I also led all sales efforts for these ventures and closed multi-million dollar deals with top-tier brands like Clif Bar, Timberland, Red Bull and others. I learned what life is like in the start-up and agency worlds. I loved every minute of it and learned a ton. However in 2019 I got an offer I couldn't refuse from West Marine. I sold my stakes in the two ventures and returned to the outdoor industry to help get people on the water. When Covid hit, we re-organized I and I left West Marine. I wasn't quite sure what the future would bring, but I reorganized my consulting team and found that many brands needed help with e-commerce, digital marketing and fractional CMO help. Since then I've led a small team of executive level consultants, e-commerce experts helping mid-sized footwear, apparel, and purpose-driven brands navigate leadership transitions, acquisitions, and re-launches.
